We have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Business Partner to join our Management Accounts Team, based from our Carlisle head office - There has never been a better time to join!

The Role

As Finance Business Partner you will be responsible for a small finance team providing finance related support to our Divisional Finance teams and Department Heads. You will develop a sound understanding of the strategic direction and continually develop financial processes to best support this.

Key Responsibilities

* Ensuring the relevance and accuracy of all reports issued to Management,

* Day to day management of the Management Accounts team, maintaining close links with the Group and Divisional Finance Teams

* Management of cash and cash forecasting

* Undertaking reviews of Central Overhead costs on a timely basis

* Continually developing reports and processes ensuring they are “fit for purpose”

* Preparing annual budgets and forecasts

* Support projects around continuous improvement of accounting processes and controls

* Support Group Financial Controller and Finance Director in large projects/process changes

The Ideal Candidate:

* Qualified accountant (ICAEW/ICAS/CIMA/ACCA)

* Experience of managing people, including, performance management and developing potential

* Excellent relationship management skills and interpersonal skills

* Ability to manage multiple projects with excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy

* Excellent analytical skills, advanced Excel and experience of working with accounting software packages

* Knowledge of the construction and contracting industry (desirable)

* Experience of managing cash flow (desirable)
