6 month Contract
Crawley (Hybrid 2-3 times a week)

Position Summary

We are recruiting for a focused individual to join the Nestlé Professional (NP) Finance team reporting into the NP Finance Manager. With key focus on providing Finance support to the Confectionery, Dairy & Food business category. You'll be responsible for supporting the business categories to meet their financial objectives like revenue growth, customer development, and cost management, whilst evaluating investments, providing strategic direction, and managing finance resources. This really is an exciting role, where you will work closely with the Category, Sales, and Marketing teams, and support functions to support NP's operational and strategic priorities.

A day in the life of a Category Co-Pilot/Finance Business Partner…

This role grants full P&L ownership for Out of Home Confectionery Ingredients, Dairy and Food, requiring financial acumen for top line revenue growth and cost management. You will evaluate customer investment opportunities, new product innovations and new business models and assist the Category Managers to develop the strategic direction for the 3-year planning horizon. You'll also:

Support the Commercial Sales team in acquiring new business through financial investment scenarios and reviewing current business performance.
Lead strategy development, stakeholder management and provide associated scenario planning to optimise shareholder value. Lead related Finance MBS processes.
Manage the profitability of the business by understanding each line of the P&L and looking for growth investment opportunities and efficiencies.
Support the Commercial Sales team to acquire new business through financial investment scenarios for tenders/contract proposals and to review the business performance of current business to ensure the financial viability of the customer.
Ensure there is strong compliance and accuracy of the financial systems specific to Nestle Professional (e.g., Revenue Share D365, C4C).
Monthly Business Planning Process, providing transparency and direction towards target achievement at any time in the process. Facilitate the Dynamic Forecast process.
Working closely with the Group Finance teams to ensure correct month end processes and controls are in place..

What will make you successful

To be successful in this role you will ideally be a qualified/close to qualified Accountant with proven experience in Finance & Controlling. You will need to have high levels of drive that ensures a strong result focused mind-set, with a good eye for detail and a high level of initiative to support the business in implementing distribution strategies. Your insight will enable you to quickly understand how the business decisions impact the distribution costs you manage and the business KPIs overall, enabling you to successfully use your communication and influencing capabilities across all levels of the organisation. Finally, you will need the ability to be flexible when prioritising work in an environment that is often ambiguous. You'll also:

Demonstrate strong presentation skills, targeting our internal stakeholders.
Be capable of P&L management and financial analysis to improve portfolio profitability.
Demonstrate effective communication skills and have the ability to influence at all levels.
Experience in building and participating in cross functional networks.
Have sustained performance in the finance function.
Ideally ACCA or CIMA qualified.
