Description:

Atkinson Moss is recruiting for an experienced Finance Business Partner to join an ambitious and creative business located on the outskirts of Norwich. This role is essential for bridging operations and management to foster a collaborative environment aimed at optimising financial performance and strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Partnership:

Collaborate closely with all business streams, creating a real and active partnership with both operations and management.

Act as a trusted adviser to add value that assists in decision-making processes.

Project Reporting and Analysis:

Provide real-time project reporting and analysis to the management team.

Serve as an effective link between day-to-day project requirements and the reporting and delivery of financial information, ensuring alignment with financial treatment for long-term contract accounting.

Financial Management:

Oversee project budgets and forecasts, ensuring accurate and timely financial planning.

Manage cash flow to ensure the financial stability and liquidity of the business.

Be responsible for the delivery of financial information for all business streams within agreed weekly/monthly timescales.

Profit & Loss, Budgets, and Forecasts:

Prepare and review Profit & Loss statements, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

Develop and maintain detailed budgets and forecasts to guide financial planning and strategy.

Process Improvement:

Identify opportunities to improve company processes and procedures.

Implement process changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness within the finance function.

Deadline Management:

Accustomed to working to strict deadlines, ensuring all financial reports and analysis are completed on time.

Project Accounting:

Possess a strong understanding of project accounting principles and practices.

Regularly reforecast and provide flash reporting to keep the management team informed of financial performance and projections.

Team Collaboration:

Work effectively as part of a team, fostering a collaborative environment.

Engage with colleagues to support a cohesive approach to financial management across the business.

Qualifications and Skills:

* Strong project accounting knowledge and understanding.

* Demonstrated ability to identify and implement process change.

* Proficient in financial reporting and analysis.

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

* Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

* Experience in providing financial information for long-term contract accounting.

* Strong team player with a collaborative approach.
