Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting on behalf of a Local Authority in Berkshire for a Finance Business Partner to join their People directorate on a temporary basis. The postholder will be responsible for providing high quality financial advice and support to the Directorate Management Team, the Executive Director and other Assistant Directors and Members on all matters relating to operations under their control in order to properly manage their financial affairs.
The role will report to the Chief Accountant and will act as the lead financial advisor for the directorate, planning and leading on complex projects including the analysis of financial and non-financial implications. The postholder will be required to provide timely and accurate information on the issues affecting the finances of the Directorate's services in support of the preparation and monitoring of the Medium Term Financial Strategy and develop where appropriate local procedures or guidance to deal effectively with specific financial issues and risks.
Candidate Criteria
CCAB/CIMA Qualified with evidence of CPD
Substantial experience of working at a senior level in a Local Government environment
Experience of providing a comprehensive business partnering service to budget managers
Experience of working in Adult Social Care Finance is essential
Experience of implementing and reviewing business processes in line with forecasting
