Overview

The role:

Support the Senior Finance Business Partner, in being a key, visible point of contact for both internal and external stakeholders, working in a collaborative manner and offering financial support and guidance to support achievement of business objectives and delivery of strong financial performance. The role will provide opportunity to support the delivery of the Solus strategic program, and work with Finance, Operational, and Project teams.

Responsibilities

Provide relevant data and analysis to the Senior Finance Business Partner to ensure the strategic direction of the business is appropriately shaped and achieved together with the right financial outcomes.

Continually reviewing current activities in order to provide expert analysis and opinions to identify and implement efficiency improvements, proactively challenging performance and ensure key financial and non-financial targets are achieved

Preparing accurate and timely financial analysis which provides financial insights and aids decision making, ensuring analysis is tailored appropriately to the audience

Proactively supporting the development of business cases, articulating both cost and benefit to the business. Equally challenging proposals and ensuring they are robust, achievable and deliver business benefit

Identifying and reporting on key opportunities, risks and associated mitigation actions affecting performance

Understand, anticipate, and deliver customer (internal and external) needs whilst building effective relationships

Positively respond to both internal and external customers through effective communication and personal accessibility

Understand procedures and processes and operate them to the required standard encouraging best practice

Provide knowledge and understanding to coach and support others within the team

Ability to actively drive improvement and perform tasks with an understanding of business requirements

Engage with operations team to ensure collaborative working throughout the company

Convey company messages and ideas clearly and openly, involving people in decisions, and providing constructive feedback

Any other tasks deemed required within a similar remit
Qualifications

Desirable qualifications and experience:

Proven background or training in a similar role would be desireable.

Finance qualifications (ACCA, CIMA, AAT)

Good PC skills at advanced level and complex formulae knowledge

Must demonstrate a strong sense of customer focus

Excellent verbal, written and communication skills

Self-motivated and systematic

Results/task orientated, attention to detail and accuracy

Excellent time management and organizational skills

Commitment to continuous improvement

Ability to work as part of a team
