Description:

The BES Group are the leading end to end solution provider in the Testing, Inspection, Certification and Compliance sector. Our team of experts (hand-picked by our Careers Team) cover an extensive range of engineering services.

We’ve gone from strength to strength over recent years, welcoming the very best risk management businesses to our Group. As a result, we’ve grown both our team of experts and our suite of solutions in line with our customer’s needs. We’re private equity backed, which means we have the flexibility and support to move quickly and grow faster than any other company in our industry. We’re innovative and forward thinking and have the awards to prove it, but most of all we’re focused on helping make sure our customers leave nothing to chance.

Our head office is based in central Manchester and is the home to many of our central functions. To support our continued ambitious growth plans, we are delighted to be recruiting for two Finance Business Analyst/Finance Systems Analysts to join our fantastic IS team.

What are we looking for?

This role offers an outstanding opportunity to join BES Group at a key moment in the growth of our business and the evolution of our systems landscape

As a member of our IT team, your work will be crucial to the implementation, configuration, and ongoing support of our Dynamics 365 Finance system, with a strong focus on either or both of the Procure to Pay (P2P/O2C) and Order to Cash (O2C) processes. The ideal candidate will bring in-depth experience in Dynamics 365 Finance, combined with expertise in system testing and change management to ensure the integrity, performance, and scalability of our systems.

We are a highly acquisitive, private equity backed business.  Our strategy is to migrate acquired businesses onto our Dynamics 365 Finance system and this role is central to that goal.

Our technical environment is Microsoft centric with our core systems of Dynamics 365 Dynamics Finance and CRM integrated with a range of in-house developed Azure deployed services, portals and apps  and a Windows based mobile platform that supports our 1100 strong team of field-based Engineer Surveyors.

We are a relatively small IT team tasked with a significant responsibility for transforming and continuously improving our business operations.  The role demands someone with passion for their work who is able communicate with ease both users across our finance and operations team as well as colleagues in the IT team.

What will I be doing?

Acting as the lead analyst in all P2P and/or O2C processes, supporting Procurement, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Treasury shared service functions, as well as individual business owners across the Group.

Acting as the lead within the project team supporting all aspects of Testing, including config and environment set up, creating test plans, agreeing test cycles, reporting test execution results, and getting business approval for UAT entry and exit criteria.

Conducting gap analyses between business requirements and system capabilities, proposing appropriate solutions or customisations.

Supporting the project team with all P2P and/or O2C related cutover processes and data migration solution requirements for all planned future go-lives as per strategic plan.

Training and support for new and existing finance system users

Maintain and update process documentation, agreeing any changes with the necessary business stakeholders and process owners.

Providing support to users on an ad-hoc basis as required as a key member of our IT Team.

Staying abreast of new features and functionality within Dynamics 365 Finance, evaluating their potential impact on business processes.

Success of this role will be measured by:

Flexibility to adapt to a variety of activities from analysis and design through to testing and system troubleshooting.

The successful operation of finance processes across existing businesses and the adoption of the same processes in newly acquired entities.

Production of clear and concise written documentation understood by all stakeholders

Your contribution to building a collaborative, innovative and supportive environment within the D365 Finance Project team and wider IT team.
