Description:

RM Recruit are excited to partner with a dynamic organisation in Oldbury seeking an experienced, resourceful Finance Assistant. This part-time, temporary position entails working 25 hours per week onsite.

Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, the Finance Assistant will support the daily operations of the Finance Department, including purchase ledger, sales ledger, and bank reconciliations.

* Raise invoice/credit notes for fees and recharges.

* Post and correctly allocate customer receipts.

* Set up new customer accounts and maintain existing account details.

* Credit control – all arrears due are collected in a timely manner.

* Collate payroll information from Operational managers and HR.

* Review and verify payroll information to make sure it is complete and accurate.

* Process all payments (invoices and expenses) including getting authorisation, in a timely manner.

* Set up new supplier accounts and maintain existing account details.

* Complete monthly reconciliation of supplier statements

* Prepare and process BACS payment run.

* Responsible for day-to-day maintenance of all bank accounts.

* Monthly reconciliation of all bank accounts including posting of transactions.

As the ideal candidate you will be part AAT qualified or qualified by experience with exposure in a similar role. A strong attention to detail is essential for this role with good organisational skills. You will be a confident communicator with the ability to hit the ground running and effectively meet deadlines and work well both independently and as a team. Knowledge and experience of SAGE is highly advantageous for this role although not essential.
