Finance Assistant – Accounts Payable / Receivable
Worthing - Perm

Our national Wealth Management client is looking to build on its very exciting team at its headquarters based in Worthing West Sussex. This is a perm office-based role.
Purpose of the role:
To provide accurate and timely financial administrative support to the business following company policies and operational procedures.
Main duties and Responsibilities:
Accounts payable
1. To pay invoices, bills, payroll, and expenses following agreed finance systems and protocols in an efficient and timely manner, ensuring accurate recording.
Accounts receivable
2. Raise invoices, sending them to customers and suppliers as required.
3. To track and record incoming payments and post them to customer accounts
4. To monitor overdue invoices, chasing them up and escalating late payments to line manager if necessary, issuing credit notes and processing refunds, if required.
General
5. To ensure financial records, payments and incoming revenue are maintained accurately.
6. To respond to queries from suppliers, customers and colleagues about progress of payments.
7. To research and reconcile account discrepancies,
8. To produce monthly financial reports as required.
Personal Development & Team Work
9. To attend and contribute to Team and staff meetings.
10. To take responsibility for managing my own workload and proactive problem-solving.
11. To actively look for and contribute to process improvements for the benefit of all Team members.
12. To support the line manager and other team members as necessary.
13. To undertake training and development as identified and agreed at performance reviews.
