Our client is a dynamic and innovative production facility dedicated to processing UK-grown, farm-assured rapeseed. They support UK farmers by providing a home market for their crops, enhancing food security, and reducing imports and food miles. They challenge industry norms by focusing on preserving nutrients in rapeseed, using mechanical pressing to produce high-quality, nutritious products without over-processing.

What will you be doing?

* Dive into generating, issuing, and tracking invoices, ensuring timely payments and resolving any discrepancies while keeping customer relationships positive.

* Engage with customers to follow up on overdue accounts, arrange payment plans, and send out friendly reminders, escalating unresolved issues when needed.

* Get hands-on with processing and recording prepayments, monitoring accounts, and preparing monthly schedules with precision.

* Tackle the task of identifying and maintaining accurate accruals in financial statements, ensuring everything is in perfect order.

* Roll up your sleeves for regular reconciliations of accounts receivable, bank, prepayment, and accrual accounts, resolving any discrepancies along the way.

* Contribute to preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, making sure they’re accurate and on time, while generating insightful monthly management accounts.

* Be part of the action during month-end and year-end closing processes, including posting journal entries and preparing financial statements.

* Conduct thorough bank reconciliations, swiftly resolving any discrepancies to keep everything balanced.

* Keep meticulous financial records and documentation, ensuring everything is accurate and up to date.

* Collaborate with various departments, support budget and financial plan creation, and jump into ad hoc financial tasks and projects, adding value wherever needed.

What will you bring to the party?

* Excel in Microsoft Excel and accounting software, turning data into actionable insights.

* Demonstrate your impeccable attention to detail and organisational prowess.

* Communicate effectively, both written and verbally, with clarity and confidence.

* Exhibit a proactive and flexible approach, ready to tackle challenges head-on.

* Relevant finance or accounting qualifications (AAT, ACCA, CIMA) are a plus, highlighting your commitment to the field.
