Monday to Thursday: 8:00am - 4:30pm
Friday: 8:00am - 2:00pm (Early Finish!)

Office Angels are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established business in Scunthorpe that is looking to add a Finance Assistant to its small, friendly, and supportive finance team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounts professional seeking a varied role within a welcoming working environment, offering a great work-life balance with an early finish every Friday.

Key Responsibilities

As Finance Assistant, your duties will include:

Processing invoices onto the Purchase Ledger
Raising supplier payments
Allocating supplier payments
Reconciling supplier accounts and payments
Maintaining accurate financial records
Maintaining and updating customer records
Providing general Sales Ledger and Purchase Ledger administration
Answering incoming telephone calls and responding to emails
Supporting the wider finance function with administrative tasks as required

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

Previous experience in a similar Finance Assistant, Accounts Assistant, Purchase Ledger, Sales Ledger or Accounts Administration position
Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
A proactive and professional approach to work
Good communication skills, both written and verbal
Confidence using finance systems and Microsoft Office applicationsExperience using Oracle or NetSuite would be a distinct advantage, although this is not essential.
