Our client is a leading business in Malton who are looking for an experienced Finance Assistant to work closely Finance Manager with the day to day accounting functions. They are looking for someone whose values align with theirs with a focus on team work, doing what is right for the business, and adapting to change.

What the Finance Assistant job involves

Accurately record payments received for the individual company accounts.

Issuing refunds to clients in line with compliance regulations.

Accurately reconciling and making payments, analysing the data and liaising with customers to resolve queries.

Run company debt reports and work with the wider teams to ensure a smooth collection of money.

Monitoring debt percentages to ensure they remain with acceptable thresholds.

Identifying debiting and payment errors, ensuring anomalies are reviewed and actioned by the relevant party.

Keeping Sage 50 system up to date and accurate.

Preparing and analysing reports for distribution throughout the business.

Skills required

Accountancy and Finance experience from within a similar role is essential

Experience of Using Sage 50 and MS Excel on a daily basis.

Solutions-focused, proactive, and able to work on your own initiative

Other information

This is a full-time position working 37.5 hours a week.

Hybrid working is available - 3 days in the office and 2 days at home after probation.

24 days holiday + bank holidays
