Finance Assistant
Deansgate, Manchester | £27,000 | Full-Time (part-time considered)
Fancy joining a Manchester estate agency that actually knows what it's doing? We're recruiting for a Finance Assistant to join a busy, independent property team based right on Deansgate — no corporate red tape, just good people who care about getting it right.
You'll be the safe pair of hands behind the scenes — keeping landlords, contractors and suppliers paid on time, and sorting out the day-to-day banking and reconciliations that keep everything running smoothly.
What you'll be doing
Processing landlord, contractor and supplier payments — on time, every time
Reconciling landlord, tenant and client account transactions
Handling daily banking — receiving, allocating and reconciling payments
Chasing down and resolving banking discrepancies and payment queries
Processing purchase invoices and running payment runs, properly authorised
Supporting month-end reconciliation and keeping financial records watertight
Being the friendly, go-to contact for landlords, contractors and tenants on finance matters
What you'll bring
Experience in an accounts, finance or bookkeeping role
Bonus points for a background in estate agency, lettings or client accounts — but not essential
Sharp numerical skills and an eye for detail
Confidence with Excel and accounting software
Great communication skills and a real customer service mindset
A calm head, strong organisation, and the trust to be handed the keys to the accounts
What's in it for you
£27,000 basic salary
Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm (part-time considered for the right person)
25 days holiday plus bank holidays
