Finance Assistant
Our client is an established FMCG business with a well-known and successful international brand. With a strong reputation for innovation and quality the company is a leading player across its sector, with a strong portfolio of quality products.
As part of their ongoing strategic development plan, they currently have an exciting opportunity for a driven and commercially focused individual to join their finance team.
Reporting to the Finance Manager, this is a unique opportunity for an ambitious individual to take ownership and responsibility of various tasks within the team and supporting both the Finance and Operations Managers.
The Role
To support the commercial objectives of the business by delivering overall excellence in financial control, reporting and analysis for the company.
Key responsibilities:
* Processing of purchase invoices and credit card statements.
* Bank reconciliations.
* Reconciliation of petty cash.
* Reconciling supplier statements and identifying payments to be made.
* Credit Control including chasing customers for outstanding payments.
* Management Accounts - support with the posting of journals and reporting.
* Cost analysis and monitoring various KPI’s.
* Support with the company’s forecasting processes.
* Assisting with stock management reports.
Specific requirements considered essential for the role:
* Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build and sustain relationships both internal and external.
* Strong organisational ability.
* Good verbal and written communication skills.
* Analytical proficiency with the ability to manipulate data effectively and accurately with a high level of attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Good knowledge of Microsoft Office including strong Excel skills.
Desirable / Nice to have skills for the role:
* Suitable professional finance qualification - AAT Level 3 Qualified.
* Qualified by Experience will be considered.
* Knowledge of SAP Business 1 databases would be beneficial but not necessary.
