Finance Assistant, Stevenage
£14.80 per hour
35 hours per week
Mon – Frid 9am – 4.30pm / 8.30am – 4pm (30 mins unpaid break)

Responsibilities: -
* Scanning and loading supplier invoices on to Sage
* Managing the aged debt via calls and emails to customers
* Preparing the supplier invoice payment support for payment runs
* Matching bank receipts and payments to Sage invoices
* Providing holiday cover for Finance Accounts Manager on other admin tasks
* Daily – checking for cashless payment units not recently used and reset them remotely
* Weekly – Check and correct meter movements in the VMGR system for anomalies and correct them
* Cover weekly ‘Cashcal’ report – update to monitor for anomalies and escalate appropriately.
Providing holiday cover for
* The Finance Accounts Manager (your line manager) on other administrative tasks.
* Cash counting of monies using a counting machine to load the bags
* Wholesale orders – place orders on the system when customers call/email
Person Specification: -
* Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
* Intermediate working knowledge of Excel including pivot tables, filters etc
* Sage Line 50 accounts (5 years’ experience)
* Sage Payroll ideal but this can be taught
* Purchase and Sales ledger experience essential
* Good numeracy
