Mecc Alte UK manufacture a wide range of industrial alternators from it’s plant in Oakham, working closely with its parent company based in Italy and its clients/customers to ensure top quality products are delivered throughout the product lifecycle.

We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Financial Analyst with minimum 2 years experience and a Graduate in Accounting and Finance degree or similar.

The candidate should preferably have SAP systems knowledge/experience also, but not essential.

Main responsibilities/activities:

Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Finance Analyst will support in Manufacturing Cost Accounting activities and take care of the periodic reporting:

- Review and maintenance of the industrial accounting system so that it is consistent with business trends;

- Over/under analysis.

- Support in processing of management reports , year-to-date variance analysis, budgets, forecasts;

- Analysis of variances and causes, also through consultation with the various company functions;

- Evaluation and definition of corrective actions together with the company functions concerned;

- Presentation of closure data to the management and explanation of the main impacts.

- Monitoring of key company KPIs and reporting of financial data

- Supporting MIS (manufacturing information system) projects in order to introduce new and timely measures to safeguard the efficiency of information processes

- Adaptation of the manufacturing cost accounting model and related company policies to changing business dynamics

- Understanding of BOMs/Bill of Materials processes

-Supporting Senior management in the drafting of the budgets

- Production of periodic forecasts

- Periodic analysis and presentation of deviations from the budget.

Ensures the elaboration of analyses useful for:

- Assessing profitability by product/customer

- Evaluation of the impact of new investments and technological innovation

- Evaluation of changes in production organisation and stock management

- Evaluation of make or buy choices

- Assessment of profitability by product/customer

Essential Requirements/Experience

- Experience in industrial management control within manufacturing industry, using data from the SAP system (or similar), with a focus on profitability analysis;

- financial analysis experience in Manufacturing industry (i.e. electro-mechanical engineering)

- Familiarity with the SAP CO (controlling) module in engineering production environment;

- Familiarity with the use of SAP in a "factory" where there are production orders, recipes (Bill of Materials), man and machine hours per batch (routings), variance analysis;

- previous experience in engineering industry ideal but will consider candidates from food manufacturing who have had exposure to production processing costing analysis

Candidates must live within a reasonable commuting distance of Oakham, Rutland. There is no hybrid working option as we require the candidate to be on site working closely with departments
