The Responsibilities of the Finance Analyst
* Managing the Purchase Ledger; posting invoices, responding to queries, reconciling supplier accounts and processing supplier payments.
* Perform daily, weekly, and monthly bank reconciliations.
* Preparation of the daily Cash Flow forecast.
* Preparation of Balance Sheet reconciliations.
* Assisting with the preparation of monthly Management Information.
* Report production for HMRC, FCA, auditors, banks and other stakeholders etc.
* Assist and support with internal and external audits in relation to the firm’s financial activities.
* Supporting the Head of Finance with ad-hoc projects.
Requirements of the Finance Analyst role
* AAT qualified or Accountancy studier
* Proven experience in Financial Services preferable.
* Good numerical skills and the ability to problem solve and be a logical thinker.
* Minimum of GCSE/ NVQ level including English and Maths or equivalent qualification.
* Knowledge of common office systems, particularly the use of Advanced Excel.
* Willing to learn and develop in the role itself and through additional accounting training
