Finance Analyst

Description:

Sewell Wallis are working with a large and well-established retailer that is looking for a Finance Analyst to join their Finance team. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience within a large, reputable company and expand your skills.

What will you be doing?

Establishing and maintaining robust relationships with third-party partners
Actively engaging in the management of warehouse stock control
Responding to ad hoc queries from various individuals across the business as needed
Monitoring, identifying, and investigating areas of concern, coordinating with warehousing teams, IT, and/or other Finance teams as necessary
Responding to requests for ad hoc reports within required deadlines
Tracking against the budget/forecast and investigating any discrepancies
Ensuring clients can make necessary financial provisions and adjustments through accurate financial accounting
Preparing weekly and monthly reports on stock movement and shrinkage, detailing stock losses and gains
Preparing and analysing balance sheet reconciliations, providing justifications for all exceptional items or unusual balances to ensure minimal reconciliation pointsWhat skills are we looking for?

Excellent attention to detail with an analytical approach to problem-solving
Ability to analyse and interpret large volumes of information
Strong communication and influencing skills
Proficient in IT, particularly Microsoft Excel
Enthusiastic and driven, with a genuine passion for self-development
Part Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA, or ACA) or a graduate willing to study
Adaptable and able to keep pace with a fast-moving environment
