Service Technician
Aldridge, Walsall | £33,000-£35,000 Basic + OTE £40,000+ | Monday-Friday
Experienced Mechanic? Want to get out of the workshop and into a mobile service role?
We're looking for an experienced Service Technician, Vehicle Technician, Mechanic, HGV Technician, Plant Fitter or Agricultural Technician to join an established materials-handling business covering customer sites across the West Midlands.
This is a SERVICE TECHNICIAN role, not a specialist forklift engineer position.
You don't need previous forklift experience. What matters is that you're mechanically minded, comfortable servicing equipment and confident working independently.
What you'll be doing
A large part of the role is routine servicing and preventative maintenance, including:
Oil and filter changes
Routine servicing and inspections
Greasing and lubrication
Replacing serviceable components
Basic mechanical repairs
Electrical and mechanical fault finding
Preventative maintenance
Attending customer sites and carrying out scheduled service work
Completing service reports and paperworkYou'll be working on forklifts and materials-handling equipment, but don't worry if you've never worked on forklifts before, full training is provided.
