We are recruiting for an experienced Field Service Engineer to join a growing engineering team providing maintenance and breakdown support across customer sites throughout the South West. This is a home-based role covering Bristol, Somerset, Devon, Dorset and surrounding areas.

Ongoing training and development
Permanent, full-time positionAs a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining, servicing and repairing industrial mechanical handling equipment at customer sites.
Your duties will include:
Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
Mechanical and electrical fault finding
Diagnosing and repairing breakdowns
Completing service reports and maintenance documentation
Working safely in accordance with company and customer health & safety procedures
Supporting continuous improvement initiatives
Providing excellent customer service while working independently across multiple sites
Participating in the on-call rota
What We're Looking For
Previous experience as a Field Service Engineer or Maintenance Engineer
Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills
Experience working on industrial machinery, automation, conveyors, materials handling equipment or manufacturing machinery
Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, gearboxes and electrical systems
Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
Good communication and customer service skills
Full UK manual driving licence
Ability to provide a five-year employment history and references
Clean criminal record
Desirable Experience
Engineering apprenticeship, NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent qualification
PLC, inverter drive or industrial control system experience
Experience within manufacturing, logistics, warehouse automation, FMCG or materials handling environments
