Field Service Engineer (Industrial Equipment) - Gloucestershire (Cheltenham HQ) + UK Travel - £35000 per annum
An established UK manufacturer and supplier of high-quality industrial dry-steam cleaning equipment is looking to hire a Field Service Engineer to support continued growth following a recent acquisition by a global parent company. This is a hands-on role based from Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, with regular customer site work and occasional travel.
If you enjoy fault-finding, repairs and customer-facing engineering work, and want to develop your skills alongside experienced technical specialists, this could be a great fit.
The Role
Working a 37-hour week, you'll be responsible for servicing, repairing and supporting specialist industrial equipment both at the workshop and on customer sites.
Key responsibilities:
Service and repair customer equipment at the Cheltenham premises
Attend customer sites to carry out on-site servicing and repairs
Provide installation support and training for new equipment
Produce quotations, issue service reports, and maintain accurate work logs
Act as a technical support backup for other engineers and end users, working closely with the wider teamAdditional requirements:
Carry out other reasonable tasks aligned to the role
Very occasional travel to mainland Europe may be requiredWhat We're Looking For
Minimum 2 years' experience in a technical service role repairing/servicing electrical equipment or machinery (including 3-phase)
Strong mechanical aptitude and practical engineering experience
Detail-oriented with a problem-solving mindset
Confident working independently and as part of a team
Good communication and customer service skills with the ability to understand user needs
Competent IT skills (ideally Word, Excel, Outlook)Essential Requirements
