IT Field Engineer
Location: Berkshire (Between multiple sites)
Salary: £28,000–£34,000
Connect Group are working with a leading provider of IT solutions in the UK. They are looking for an experienced IT Engineer to be based at one of their client sites.

In this customer-facing role, you will be the primary point of contact for onsite technical delivery, ensuring client systems remain secure, reliable, and fully operational.
Job Responsibilities:
* Handling the physical setup, installation, relocation, or configuration of core computing hardware and software assets (including workstations, portables, output devices, accessories, and network infrastructure).
* Providing proactive, on-location technical service directly at customer sites or designated operational areas.
* Provide specialist technical support under the Network Manager to ensure the site maintains high-quality learning facilities, which includes setting up and testing hardware and software for normal operation.
* Build and configure networked PCs either via standalone setup or image deployment, while performing routine maintenance tasks for user accounts.
Job Requirements:
* Previous working experience within an IT helpdesk or IT support environment.
* Preferred IT sector qualifications, such as Microsoft, Cisco, Aruba, or Apple.
* Experience managing user accounts, access permissions, and security settings within cloud environments like Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace.
* Solid understanding of networking concepts.
* Strong practical knowledge in diagnosing, repairing, and setting up desktops, laptops, interactive whiteboards, projectors, and printers.
