Fettler / Assembly Operative - Night

Description:

This is a hands-on role where you'll be responsible for preparing fabricated components to a high standard through fettling, grinding and finishing, before assembling products in line with engineering drawings and customer specifications. You'll play a key role in ensuring our products leave the factory looking their very best.

We're looking for someone with a positive attitude, excellent attention to detail and pride in producing quality work.

Key Responsibilities

* Fettle, grind, linish and finish laser cut and fabricated components.

* Remove weld spatter, sharp edges and imperfections to achieve a high-quality finish.

* Assemble fabricated components using hand and power tools.

* Read and interpret engineering drawings and work instructions.

* Carry out visual quality inspections throughout the manufacturing process.

* Report any defects or quality concerns to the Team Leader.

* Ensure components are completed within production deadlines.

* Maintain a clean, safe and organised working area.

* Follow all company Health & Safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE.

* Assist other departments when required to support production.

Essential

* Previous experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment.

* Experience using hand-held power tools such as grinders and sanders.

* Good attention to detail.

* Ability to read basic engineering drawings.

* Good manual dexterity.

* Able to work independently and as part of a team.

* Reliable with a strong work ethic.

* Positive attitude and willingness to learn..

Working Hours

40 hours per week

Overtime may be available depending on business requirements.

Pay: £13 -£15.00 per hour
