Weekdays: 7:30am – 7:30pm

Weekends: 7:30am – 4:30pm

## About the Role

You will provide high-quality, person-centred care for an individual with complex care needs, including conditions such as:

Epilepsy
Autism
Severe global development delay
Scoliosis
This role involves supporting daily living activities, promoting comfort, safety, dignity and independence, and working to an agreed care plan.

## Key Responsibilities

Complex care support in line with care plans and prescribed protocols
Medication management, including safe administration and accurate recording
Support with personal care (including intimate care) in a respectful, dignified manner
Assistance with eating and drinking, including monitoring needs and supporting safe intake
Support and management of PEG (where required), including routine care as directed
Use of equipment such as a nebuliser, including maintaining correct usage in line with instructions
Promote safety and wellbeing during routines, including supporting with communication and sensory needs
Observe, report and document any changes in health, behaviour, seizures, or concerns promptly
Follow safeguarding procedures and maintain confidentiality at all times
Work effectively with family members and wider care team to ensure consistency of care

## Required Skills & Attributes

Experience in complex care (desirable) and/or willingness to undertake training
Understanding of epilepsy and safe supportive practices
Patient, calm, and confident approach working with autism and severe global development delay
Ability to provide hands-on personal care and support with eating and drinking
Competent with medication management and following professional instructions
Comfortable supporting with PEG care and operating a nebuliser (training provided where needed)
Strong communication skills, reliability, and a compassionate attitude
Ability to work shifts at the times listed
