FCAW Welder
Location: Belfast

Pay
£24.88 per hour PAYE
£37.32 per hour overtime after 40 hours per week
£33.09 per hour nights
£400 weekly travel and lodge allowance

45 hours days: £1,581.80 per week
67 hours days: £2,402.84 per week
45 hours nights: £1,910.22 per week
67 hours nights: £2,731.26 per week
We are looking to speak with experienced FCAW Welders for upcoming long term onshore engineering work in Belfast.
This opportunity would suit welders with experience in heavy fabrication, port infrastructure, marine civils, industrial engineering, manufacturing, utilities, mechanical works or major project environments. Belfast has a strong long term onshore engineering and infrastructure market, including port infrastructure upgrades around quay works, ferry facilities, container operations, shore power and wider harbour development.
The work is expected to suit candidates who are used to working in busy industrial environments where safety, quality and reliability are key.
Key duties
* FCAW welding on heavy engineering and fabrication work
* Welding plate, structural steel and fabricated components
* Reading and working from engineering drawings and weld procedures
* Preparing materials and checking work before welding
* Producing consistent welds to required project standards
* Supporting wider fabrication and site teams where needed
Working safely in line with site procedures and permit requirements
Experience required
* Strong FCAW / flux core welding experience
* Experience in fabrication, industrial engineering, port infrastructure, marine civils, manufacturing, utilities or heavy engineering environments
* Ability to read drawings and follow weld procedures
* Comfortable working on long term industrial or project based work
* Previous coded welding experience would be beneficial
* Ability to pass a weld test if required
