We are seeking a dedicated Family Time Worker for Staffordshire County Council to play a vital role in helping children in our care maintain positive relationships with their families.
Pay: £15.41 an hour
Contract: 3 Months plus ongoing
Location: Stafford Town Centre
In this role, you will:
Coordinate family time: You'll work with court orders and family needs to arrange visits between children and their parents or other family members.
Facilitate positive connections: You'll create a supportive environment for children to reconnect with their families, offering emotional support and guidance to both children and parents during these visits.
Ensure safe transportation: Sometimes, children need help getting to these visits. You'll arrange for safe and reliable transportation for them.
Maintain clear communication: Keeping detailed records of everything that happens during family time is important. You'll be responsible for accurate documentation and reports.
Be a flexible team player: Because families have different needs, you might be required to work evenings and weekends to ensure children and their families get the support they need.To be successful, you will have:
Full UK Driving Licence with access to own car with business insurance, or willingness to obtain this is a must
A minimum qualification of NVQ3 in working with children and families (or equivalent).
Experience working with children, families, and carers in a social care setting.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with children, families, and professionals.
A commitment to safeguarding children and promoting their well-being.
