We are seeking an experienced, passionate, and resilient Countywide Manager to manage the Family Time Service across Devon.

The role will oversee the smooth running of the supervised contact teams, dealing with any issues that arise, and supporting the Area Team Leaders.

There are 4 service areas across Devon: North Devon, East & Mid Devon, Exeter and South Devon. The countywide service manager will be responsible for overall management of the area team leaders and the supervised contacts, set by court orders or other circumstances, for children in care with their parents and / or relatives.

The ethos of the service is to promote the welfare of the children and their families, through positive contact sessions where children are safeguarded. The role will work closely with the County Social Work Team Managers to ensure that supervised contact referrals are set up promptly and in line with statutory obligations and DCC procedures and policies.

You will liaise with both internal and external stakeholders, working in partnership with young people, parents, carers, and professionals. Providing children, families, and carers with the opportunity to express their views in an individually appropriate way, considering their opinions to develop the services. You will provide effective and timely communication and liaison on a frequent basis with children and young people, their families, and all agencies regarding any operational issues which may be complex, sensitive and/or contentious.

Your role will be fully focused on the needs of the children and young people and be led by those needs in the decisions you are making. You will be responsible for staff compliance with training to ensure they are always delivering the best care for the children and young people. The views and wishes of the children and young people will be listened too and influence the delivery of the services.

Additional information
The salary range for this role is £42,403 - £46,464 per annum.
