Family Support Worker (Pre-birth & Child Protection)
Location: Stoke-on-Trent, ST4 1RN
Working Arrangement: Predominantly office-based with 2 days of flexible work-from-home options
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Duration: 9+ months
Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 08:30 AM - 05:00 PM, 37 hours per week
Pay Rate: £12.92 per hour PAYE plus holiday pay
About the Role:
We are seeking dedicated and experienced Family Support Workers to join our team in Stoke-on-Trent. This role focuses on intensive pre-birth and child protection family work, requiring candidates with relevant experience in these critical areas.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide intensive support to families pre-birth and during child protection interventions.
Work collaboratively with multi-agency professionals to deliver comprehensive support plans.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all interactions and interventions.
Engage with families to build trust and foster a supportive environment.
Facilitate access to various community resources, including family hubs, parenting programs, and charitable support services.Essential Experience:
Proven experience in intensive pre-birth family support and/or child protection work.
Ability to establish professional, effective working relationships with a range of partners/colleagues and children, young people and families
Ability to write accurately, concisely and sensitively with a high degree of detail.
Experience of direct work with children and families
Knowledge and commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
