Do you want to make a difference? An exciting opportunity has arisen in our Facilities team for someone to support us in running a cohesive and productive Facilities service here at Watford Community Housing – making the office a great place to work!
What’s the role?
As a Facilities Officer, you will use your communication and interpersonal skills to help us deliver high-quality customer service to both internal and external customers.
The right candidate will need the ability to adapt and react to changing business needs. Within Facilities, you can expect to support with the smooth running of the facilities services at our office on Clarendon Road and our community hub sites within the wider Watford area.
You will be working with teams across the whole organisation. So, most importantly, you will need to work effectively and proactively with colleagues to ensure the office is a great place to work for everyone!
What are we looking for?
We are looking for someone with a background in Facilities who is a great communicator, puts the customer first and can prioritise their workload. You must be able to work proactively and look beyond the task list to provide a great Facilities service. Ideally, you’ll have undertaken a similar role elsewhere and have experience of being the key contact person for all building occupants, be able to offer a responsive repairs and maintenance service, organise contractors when needed, day to day operational responsibility for the postal services. You’ll also be IT literate and be able to raise purchase orders in order to manage office supplies.
Essential:
* Positive and proactive attitude towards change
* Ability to manage and prioritise own workload in order to take account of responsive and planned business needs
* Confident use of IT systems, particularly Word and Excel to accurately input and extract data
* You will need to maintain a satisfactory basic level DBS check.
Desirable:
* Full driving licence and access to a car with business-use insurance
* IWFM accreditation or studying towards
