Facilities & Maintenance Operative
Location: OX10
Contract: Full time, Permanent
We're looking for a practical, hands-on Facilities & Maintenance Operative to join our client's team. If you're someone who enjoys fixing problems, takes pride in keeping things running smoothly, and isn't afraid to roll up your sleeves, this could be the role for you.
You'll play a key part in maintaining the site, carrying out both planned and reactive maintenance to ensure facilities, equipment and external areas remain safe, clean and operational.
What You'll Be Doing
Carrying out general maintenance and basic repairs across the site
Supporting planned preventative maintenance (PPM) activities
Responding to day-to-day maintenance issues quickly and effectively
Monitoring equipment and site services to ensure safe operation
Completing safety checks and reporting hazards
Maintaining external areas and supporting site cleanliness
Assisting contractors working on site
Looking after tools and equipment
Acting as a keyholder, completing daily site checks and shutdown procedures
Taking part in the out-of-hours response rota
What We're Looking For
Previous experience in a maintenance, facilities or practical hands-on role
Good general maintenance skills and a proactive attitude
Basic knowledge of health and safety practices
The ability to work independently and as part of a team
Physically fit and comfortable carrying out manual tasks
A full UK driving licence
Desirable (but not essential)
Electrical competency
Forklift (FLT) licence
