Facilities & Maintenance Assistant
Andover, Hampshire
£30,000 per annum
We are currently recruiting for an ambitious Facilities & Maintenance Assistant to join our client in Andover. This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate with experience in mechanical and electrical maintenance and provided general site facilities repairs.
Facilities & Maintenance Assistant Roles and Responsibilities:
* Carry out general site/factory repairs, upkeep and other jobs to maintain and improve the working area
* Develop knowledge and expertise across a diverse range of equipment, from steam boiler heating systems to hydraulic presses
* Carry out maintenance activities on machinery and electro-mechanical systems
* Take ownership of problem-solving and root cause analysis to help identify faults and prevent recurring issues
* Prioritise and manage workload effectively in line with operational requirements
* Maintain high standards of Health & Safety, following procedures and keeping work areas safe, clean and organised
* Follow quality and administrative procedures accurately, with strong attention to detail
* Visit both factory sites as required
Facilities & Maintenance Assistant Ideal Candidate:
* Understanding of electro-mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics and machinery maintenance
* Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise and manage workloads effectively
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* A sound understanding of Health & Safety regulations and best practice within a machinery or maintenance environment
* A clean, valid driving licence, as travel between the two factory sites will occasionally be required
Facilities & Maintenance Assistant Qualifications:
* City & Guilds qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent qualification
* A good understanding of Health & Safety within a maintenance environment
Working Hours and Benefits:
* £30,000 per annum
* 23 days’ annual leave, plus bank holidays
* Company pension following successful completion of the 3-month probationary period
