Description:

Working for a large software company in Cambridge you will provide Facilities Lead to cover a fifteen-month maternity cover contract. The ideal candidate for this role is someone with extensive experience of working within a senior facilities role in an office environment, who can ensure smooth delivery of FM tasks at the same time as keeping day-to-day operations running within their Cambridge office.
 
No day is the same within Facilities, so I am looking for an excellent communicator that is self-motivated when it comes to on-the-spot problem solving. You’ll be responsible for overseeing the soft and hard services at the Cambridge office as well as assisting the Global Facilities Manager with setting up and liaising with global offices as well as supporting on internal project

You woill have significant experience of working with external contractors, particularly building management and maintenance companies; so solid knowledge of M&E services, space planning, preventative maintenance and compliance is essential. 
 
You’ll also be responsible for supporting the Global FM with ensuring that the co is compliant with health and safety regulations, and the successful candidate for this role will need an IOSH Managing Safely accreditation at minimum.
 
As well as having the practical and technical skills necessary to succeed in the role, you’ll also be responsible for supervising members of the Cambridge based facilities team, including maintenance and reception.
 
This would be a fantastic opportunity for someone with excellent people skills who enjoys balancing problem solving with outstanding service delivery.
 
 What makes you the next Facilities Lead?
You are associate level IWFM, or higher.
You have experience with budgeting and contract management.
You have experience with working on ESOS and SECR reporting.
You have a health and safety qualification such as IOSH Managing Safely.
Practical knowledge of facilities management in a sole occupancy building.
You are an excellent problem solver.
You have an excellent understanding of building management, and health and safety compliance.
You have experience dealing with supplier contracts & negotiating costs.
You’ll have a desire to take the initiative, and adapt to changing circumstances.
You have strong, demonstrable written and verbal communication skills.
You’re self-motivated, enthusiastic and able to work well as part of a team.
You are fully first aid trained or would like to be.
