Temporary Maintenance & Cleaning Operative
Pay Rate: £13.45 per hour
Contract: Temporary (Minimum 6 Weeks)
Hours: Up to 37.5 hours per week
We are seeking a reliable and flexible Temporary Maintenance & Cleaning Operative to provide cover for holidays, sickness, and other staffing requirements.
This is a hands-on role involving a variety of outdoor cleaning and general maintenance duties to ensure public areas are kept clean, safe, and well-presented.
Key Duties:
General maintenance and upkeep of outdoor areas
Outdoor cleaning and litter removal
Setting out and managing waste bins
Maintaining cleanliness across designated sites
Responding to cleaning requirements as they arise
Cleaning and removal of bodily fluids, including vomit, in line with health and safety proceduresWorking Hours:
Up to 37.5 hours per week
Typical shifts are:
11-hour shifts (including a 1-hour unpaid break)
8-hour shifts (including a 30-minute unpaid break)Requirements:
Reliable, punctual, and flexible
Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
Able to carry out physically demanding duties
Previous cleaning or maintenance experience is desirable but not essential
Awareness of health and safety practices is advantageousThis temporary position is expected to last for a minimum of 6 weeks, with the possibility of an extension for the right candidate
