The Opportunity
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Facade Manager to join a leading main contractor delivering a major residential development in Clapham Common, South West London.
This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong Facade Manager with a proven track record of delivering complex external envelope packages on large-scale residential schemes.
The successful candidate will take responsibility for managing and coordinating the facade works, ensuring packages are delivered safely, on programme, to the highest quality standards and in line with project specifications.
Key Responsibilities

Oversee the delivery of facade packages, including brickwork, SFS, traditional cladding and punch-hole window systems.
*
Manage specialist facade subcontractors, ensuring quality, productivity and programme targets are achieved.
*
Coordinate facade interfaces with the structural frame, windows, waterproofing and other associated trades.
*
Review technical drawings, specifications, design details and installation methodologies.
*
Ensure works comply with building regulations, fire safety requirements and project quality standards.
*
Manage inspections, snagging, quality assurance and handover processes.
*
Work closely with the project management, design and commercial teams to resolve technical and programme challenges.
*
Drive health and safety standards across all external envelope activities.
Requirements
*
Proven experience working as a Facade Manager, External Envelope Manager or Facade Package Manager on major residential developments.
*
Strong technical knowledge and hands-on delivery experience across brickwork, SFS, traditional cladding and punch-hole facade systems.
*
Experience managing multiple facade subcontractors on complex, multi-storey residential projects.
*
Excellent understanding of facade interfaces, sequencing, installation methods and quality control.
*
Strong communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.
*
Ability to manage facade packages from initial installation through to completion and handover.
*
Relevant construction qualifications and site management certifications.
