Position - Sheetmetal Fabricator Welder.
The company is a small specialised engineering company that is looking to expand their Engineering and manufacturing team. They are looking to strengthen the team with an experienced Sheet metal fabricator welder.
This role reports into the Works Manager Foreman and is to produce high quality, cost-effective fabrications in support of the business, for new and used machinery.
The company has a 39hrs/week - Mon -Thurs 07:00 – 16:00 & Fri 07:00 – 12:00
Hourly rate Circa £16.00 - £18.00 - depending upon skills and experience. The comapny is flexible and would be happy to look at a higher salary the attract the right level of person, please don't let salary be a reason not to come and tlak to us about of role, comapny and opportunity.
All our welders are coded, and require the same for anyone new, we would put them through for coding when we next requalify our guys.
The role -
You will be working from drawings and sketches as applicable.
Fabrication of stainless and mild steel sheet and sections
Welding using MIG, TIG and Manual Metal Arc
Manual cutting with Plasma and Flame cut methods.
Weld to insurance standards (BS5500/ BS EN 286) competence measured by in house testing (Coded Welders only)
Translate drawn requirements into manufactured components in the most efficient manner.
Work to written manufacturing instructions.
The way the conpany operates you would work closely and liaise with the other fabricator/welders and other staff to ensure optimum production efficiency and effectiveness is achieved.
Maintain a clean and orderly workplace environment compatible with an open workshop facility.
Use of appropriate hand held and powered tools and equipment as applicable in the execution of the tasks set.
Welding and fabrication skills such as cutting, marking out, squaring off, bending etc.
Proficient in using guillotine, rolls, brake press and hand tools as necessary.
