Fabricator/Welder - Taunton
Location: Taunton, Somerset
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £15-£18 per hour, depending on experience
Salary Equivalent: £31,000-£38,000 DOE
Overtime: Available
Start Date: As soon as available
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Fabricator/Welder to join a well-established fabrication company based in Taunton.
This is a great opportunity to join a respected business working on a wide range of bespoke architectural, secondary and structural steel fabrication projects across the South West.
The role will involve:
Fabricating and welding a variety of bespoke steelwork
Working from fabrication drawings
Producing items such as stairs, gantries, walkways, handrails, balconies and structural steelwork
Working as part of a skilled workshop team
Maintaining high standards of quality and attention to detail
Using modern workshop equipment and fabrication processes
The ideal candidate will have:
Minimum 3 years' experience in fabrication/welding
Experience working from fabrication drawings
Background in structural steel, architectural metalwork or bespoke fabrication
Good attention to detail
Positive attitude and strong work ethic
Ability to work well within a team and on own initiative
Good timekeeping and reliability
Willingness to learn new equipment and processes
Experience with tube bending machines or robotic welding systems would be beneficial, but training can be provided for the right person.
Working hours:
Monday to Thursday: 8:00am - 4:30pm
Friday: 8:00am - 4:00pm
