Description:

Are you an experienced Fabricator looking for a brilliant opportunity to join a thriving team? Our successful client is seeking a skilled Fabricator who excels as a team player and can work independently using their own initiative.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

Carry out a variety of engineering tasks efficiently, accurately, and to a high standard, with a focus on welding and fabricating stainless and mild steel materials.
Ensure safe working practices for yourself and coworkers, in accordance with relevant risk assessments.
Maintain a clean, neat, and hazard-free workplace.
Keep tools, equipment, and vehicles in good condition, promptly identifying and addressing any faults.
Maintain all personal protective equipment in clean and good order, promptly addressing any issues.
Conduct yourself in a polite, courteous, and professional manner at all times.
Assist directors in the development and encouragement of unskilled, semi-skilled, and apprentice coworkers.
Undertake works on client sites, including occasional travel and overtime as reasonably required by the company directors.

Key Skills:

Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles.
Keen eye for detail and high-quality workmanship.
Ability to understand and follow technical drawings and specifications.
Skill in solving mechanical fitting and assembly issues in both workshop and customer premises settings.
Commercial awareness of costs and adherence to timescales.
Proficiency in measuring and cutting sheet metal using hand and power tools.
Expertise in MIG and TIG welding, and fabricating using machinery such as press brakes, guillotines, and lathes.
Experience in fabricating conveyor and machinery parts, balustrades, and handrails.
Ability to manufacture sheet metal components for welding and fabrication.
Skill in measuring, punching holes, and preparing metal sheets for fabrication.
