The Role: Fabricator
Location: Coventry
Hourly Rate: £16-£18phr
Status: Immediate start! Initially temporary with the possibility of a permanent position.
The Role:
You will be responsible for surveying and specifying materials needed for projects at all premises, services and processes that support the organisation's core business. This is a wide field with a diverse range of responsibilities. You will need to be a practical, hands-on individual covering all 3 sites in Coventry to improve the efficiency by helping to provide the most suitable working environment. Also fabricating parts as per drawings supplied by production or maintenance, these parts will be used per machine / building.
Key duties and responsibilities:
* Metal work fabrication.
* General machinal duties (forklift checks).
* Site vehicles checks.
* Ensure workshop cleanliness.
* Assist maintenance with installation on machinery.
* Helping in the decommissioning and removal of old equipment / structures.
* Emergency Maintenance support.
* Maintain safety, health and environmental policies and procedures.
* Helping to keep staff safe.
* Responding appropriately to emergencies or urgent issues as they arise and dealing with the consequences.
* Assist with planning and implementation of improvements and expansion plans.
Knowledge Skills and abilities Required:
* Strong practical skills including metal work and mechanics.

Qualifications and Experience:
* Minimum of 1 years’ experience in a facilities, operations, or manufacturing environment.
* Minimum of 1 year’s hands on experience in facilities maintenance.
* Minimum of 1 year’s welding experience.
* Minimum of 1 year’s hot works experience
