Fabrication Estimator Urgently required to work for a world leading specialist fabrication, precision engineering organisation in Maidenhead. We are looking for someone with either a proven background in estimation, production quotes for customers within an engineering / manufacturing environment or an experienced fabricator/ welder who is looking to move away from the tools, get off the shop floor and into the office, develop a new career using the knowledge and experience gained on the tools, to which quotation training will be supported.

With a recent investment of over half a million pounds in equipment and staff to satisfy our growing client base and now require an experienced estimator and this is the perfect opportunity for an enthusiastic person to thrive in a successful team, creating quotations from customer drawings and convert them to work orders, consulting with customers, developing the product range and offering expertise in the fabrication industry.

Responsibilities:

Create detailed quotations from customer drawings (including existing and new customers).
Converting successful quotes to orders on the system
Getting feedback on unsuccessful quotes.
Frequently update material costs as well as subcontractor service costs in the database to ensure the quotations are accurate.
Liaise with production when passing over awarded orders in order to ensure no miscommunication between customer requirements and what we produce.
Support the Sales Manager in growing the business. Ideal requirements:

Great communications and hard working skills.
Outgoing and friendly person (in person and on the phone).
Able to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Excellent attention to detail and working under pressure.Desirable skills:

Knowledge of stainless steel specific work
Ideally some sort of quoting software or CAD experience
