Fabric Engineer
Location: Liverpool Street, London
Salary: £45,000
Hours: Monday to Friday
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Fabric Engineer to join the engineering team at a prestigious commercial building in the heart of the City of London, just a short walk from Liverpool Street Station.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a high-profile static site where you'll be responsible for maintaining the building's fabric to an exceptional standard. We're looking for someone with a strong eye for detail, particularly when it comes to painting and decorating, alongside general fabric maintenance.
Duties & Responsibilities
* Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive fabric maintenance
* Complete high-quality painting and decorating works throughout the building
* Undertake basic carpentry, plumbing, patch repairs, tiling, and general building repairs
* Carry out inspections and identify fabric defects before they become larger issues
* Maintain internal and external areas to a high presentation standard
* Work alongside the wider engineering team to support day-to-day maintenance activities
* Complete maintenance records accurately using the site's CAFM system
* Ensure all work is carried out safely and in accordance with health & safety procedures
About You
* Previous experience as a Fabric Engineer, Building Fabric Technician, or Maintenance Operative
* Excellent painting and decorating skills are essential
* Good all-round knowledge of building fabric maintenance, including carpentry, plumbing, and general repairs
* Strong attention to detail and pride in delivering high-quality workmanship
* Professional and customer-focused approach
* Able to work independently and as part of a wider engineering team
