Fabric Maintenance Technician

Salary: Up to £35,000 depending on experience, plus overtime and call-out payments

Hours: 40 hours per week

The Role

We are looking for a skilled and reliable Multi-Skilled Fabric Maintenance Technician to join a busy facilities maintenance team. This is a varied role where you'll carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs across a diverse property portfolio, helping to maintain a safe, high-quality environment.

Key Responsibilities

* Carry out planned and reactive fabric maintenance across multiple sites

* Complete internal and external painting and decorating works

* Undertake general building repairs including carpentry, minor plumbing, paving and general maintenance

* Assist with property improvement projects, promotional installations and refurbishment works

* Ensure all work is completed in line with Health & Safety legislation and company procedures

* Update and close completed maintenance tasks using the CAFM system

* Maintain high standards of workmanship, housekeeping and personal presentation

* Support and liaise with specialist subcontractors when required

* Respond flexibly to emergency repairs and participate in the on-call rota where applicable

* Attend training courses and team meetings while maintaining ongoing professional development

Essential Skills & Experience

* Time-served apprenticeship in carpentry or a relevant trade

* Minimum of two years' post-apprenticeship experience

* Previous experience within a facilities maintenance or multi-skilled maintenance environment

* Comfortable working at height and using powered access equipment

* Strong communication and teamwork skills

* A proactive approach with excellent attention to detail

* Commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship

Desirable

* Additional trade skills or multi-skilled maintenance experience

* Health & Safety qualifications or safety management training

* Full UK driving licence

You'll be a dependable and adaptable maintenance professional who enjoys a varied workload and takes pride in delivering a high standard of work. You'll be comfortable working independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on safety, quality and customer service
