Fabric Technician – ASAP Start – On-going Contract – Teesside
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Fabric Technician to join a leading global facilities management provider on an ongoing basis in Teesside. This is a fantastic role for a Fabric Technician looking for stability and variety within a high-profile working environment.

Contract: Ongoing
Hours: 7am – 4pm
Start: ASAP
Location: Teesside
Key responsibilities of the Fabric Technician role include:
* Responding to reactive works within the wider maintenance team
* Ensuring maintenance tasks are completed within agreed timescales
* Liaising with client representatives regarding maintenance and repair tasks
* Undertaking site surveys and producing Works Requests, Method Statements, and Risk Assessments for planned works
* Repairing floor and wall coverings
* Carrying out ceiling tile repairs and replacements
* Undertaking other building and installation works as required
* Carrying out lighting and general lamp changes, filter changes on AHUs/FCUs, and basic plumbing tasks
* Using a PDA to complete works, communications, and updates
* Completing reactive and PPM jobs and projects in a timely manner
* Undertaking minor project works
* Ensuring all works are carried out safely and in line with Health and Safety at Work Regulations
What we're looking for:
The ideal Fabric Technician will have previous fabric or carpentry experience, ideally gained within a high-profile work environment, along with a City & Guilds or NVQ equivalent in carpentry. A current UK driving licence, good PC literacy, and strong customer relationship skills are essential.
Candidates should be able to interpret technical drawings and instructions, organise their own workload, and determine material requirements independently. Experience with H&S procedures (COSHH, Working at Heights, Risk Assessments) is required, along with an IOSH and/or NEBOSH qualification. Flexibility to work over and above contracted hours is also expected.
