Role overview

Prepare and cut specialist materials used in premium first-class and business-class aircraft interiors.
Support the manufacture of lightweight aircraft panels and interior components.
Work to high standards of quality, accuracy, safety and traceability.Key responsibilities

Measure, mark and cut fabrics, foams, leather and other materials using templates, drawings and cutting plans.
Operate manual cutting tools and any automated cutting equipment.
Check materials for defects, damage, colour variation and correct batch information before cutting.
Ensure all parts are cut to the required dimensions and tolerances.
Label and organise cut components correctly for the next production process.
Complete job cards, material records and traceability documentation.
Use materials efficiently to minimise waste.
Inspect finished work and report any quality concerns.
Maintain tools and keep the cutting area clean, safe and organised.
Follow company procedures for health and safety, quality and foreign object debris prevention.Skills and experience

Previous cutting experience in aerospace, automotive, upholstery, furniture, textiles or a similar manufacturing environment.
Good measuring skills and the ability to work accurately with dimensions.
Ability to read drawings, templates and written work instructions.
Strong attention to detail and a quality-focused approach.
Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
Ability to work independently and as part of a production team.
Able to achieve production targets without compromising quality.
