EYFS Teaching Assistant
Lancaster - Full-Time - Immediate Start
Veritas Education is delighted to be working with a wonderful primary school in Lancaster that is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic EYFS Teaching Assistant to join their Early Years team on a full-time basis.
This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a nurturing and creative setting with excellent indoor and outdoor learning spaces, where children are encouraged to explore, discover and develop a love of learning from the very start of their educational journey.
The Role
Working alongside experienced teaching staff, you will support children across the Early Years Foundation Stage, helping them to develop key skills through engaging activities, structured learning and play-based experiences. This position is likely to continue for the full academic year.
Key responsibilities will include:
Supporting the delivery of high-quality phonics sessions
Assisting children with speech and language development
Encouraging participation in creative and hands-on learning activities
Supporting children's social, emotional and academic development
Working with small groups and individual pupils where required
Helping to create a stimulating and engaging learning environment
Building positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents
The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will:
Have experience working within EYFS or with young children
Be passionate about supporting early learning and development
Have a good understanding of phonics and early communication skills
Be patient, enthusiastic and nurturing in their approach
Enjoy engaging children through creative activities and imaginative play
Work effectively as part of a supportive team
