Early Years SEN Teaching Assistant
Westminster, Central London
£110 - £125 per day | September Start | Full-Time | Long-Term

About the Role
Long Term Futures are working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Westminster to recruit an Early Years SEN Teaching Assistant for a September start.
The role will involve supporting children with a range of additional needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder, speech and language difficulties, and developmental delays. You will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to provide targeted support while helping pupils develop their communication, independence, and confidence.

Key responsibilities include:

Providing 1:1 and small group SEN support
Supporting communication and speech and language development
Encouraging learning through play and structured activities
Supporting social interaction and emotional regulation
Delivering targeted interventions under the guidance of the SENCO
Helping pupils develop independence and confidence
Supporting children with transitions and daily routines
Actively engaging within Early Years provision rather than simply observingThe Ideal Candidate
The school is looking for someone who:

Has experience working with young children, ideally within Early Years or SEN
Is warm, patient, and engaging
Can build positive relationships with children
Is confident supporting children through play-based learning
Is proactive and willing to get involved throughout the school day
Has strong communication and teamwork skillsApplications are welcomed from candidates with backgrounds in childcare, Early Childhood Studies, psychology, speech and language, education, or other relevant fields.
