Level 3 Teaching Assistant
Are you a passionate and dedicated Level 3 Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding, full-time role in the Wigan area?
Tradewind Recruitment is currently working with a fantastic primary school in Wigan that is looking to appoint a committed Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join their busy and nurturing nursery setting. This is an ongoing, long-term opportunity starting as soon as possible on a full-time basis (Monday to Friday, 8:15 AM - 3:45 PM)
Setting: Nursery class attached to a mainstream primary school in Wigan
Hours: Full-time, 8:15 AM to 3:45 PM, 5 days a week
Contract Type: Ongoing / Long-term supply
Pay Rate: £(Apply online only) a day
Key Responsibilities
Supporting the class teacher with the daily delivery of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
Assisting with both small group and 1-to-1 learning activities to boost social, emotional, and early academic development.
Helping to create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive indoor and outdoor learning environment.
Observing, recording, and tracking children's progress to support developmental profiles.
Building positive, reassuring relationships with children, parents, and staff members.
What We Are Looking For
Hold a recognised Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) in Childcare, Early Years, or Supporting Teaching and Learning.
Previous professional experience working within a nursery or EYFS primary setting.
A warm, approachable personality with a genuine passion for early childhood education.
Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and developmental milestones.
Enhanced DBS certificate on the update service (or willingness to apply for one through Tradewind).
CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible, and any employment breaks must be explained.
