EYFS Teaching Assistant

Description:

We are seeking a nurturing, enthusiastic and dedicated Early Years Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school and support children within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about helping young children develop, learn and thrive during the crucial early stages of their education.

Working closely with the class teacher, you will support pupils in their learning and development through engaging activities, child-led play and structured interventions, helping to create a positive and stimulating learning environment.

Position: Early Years Teaching Assistant (EYFS)
Salary: £14.25 - £15.50 per hour
Contract: Full-time: 8.30am – 3.30pm
Start Date: Monday 2nd November or ASAP

Key Responsibilities

Support the class teacher in delivering high-quality learning experiences in line with the EYFS curriculum.
Assist with the planning and preparation of activities that encourage children's development across all areas of learning.
Support children individually, in small groups and within whole-class activities.
Encourage children's social, emotional and communication development.
Promote positive behaviour and help maintain a safe, inclusive and nurturing environment.
Assist with observations and assessments of pupils' progress.
Support children with additional needs where required.
Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents/carers.
You Will Need:

Have experience working with children in an Early Years setting, nursery, preschool or primary school.
Hold a relevant Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant or Childcare qualification (desirable).
Have a sound understanding of the EYFS framework.
Be patient, caring and enthusiastic about supporting young learners.
Demonstrate strong communication and teamwork skills.
Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Be able to create engaging learning opportunities through play-based activities.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
