Location: Wolverhampton, OFSTED rated GOOD mainstream primary school

Start Date: September 2024

Contract Type: Full-time, Long term - Potential for permanent depending on performance.

Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

About the Role: We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Early Years Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant to join our team in September 2024. The successful candidate will work closely with our Early Years team to provide tailored support for students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), including Autism and Behavioural needs. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young learners and contribute to their development and success.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with SEN, including Autism and Behavioural needs, within the Early Years setting.
Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging and inclusive lessons that meet the individual needs of all students.
Implement strategies and interventions to support students' social, emotional, and academic development.
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and supported.
Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and external agencies to ensure the best possible outcomes for students with SEN.Requirements:

Previous experience working with children with SEN, particularly Autism and Behavioural needs, is essential.
A relevant qualification in Special Educational Needs, Education, or a related field is highly desirable.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting the learning and development of children with SEN.
The ability to work effectively as part of a team and contribute to a positive school culture.
