We are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic and dedicated EYFS Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming two-form entry primary school in Toxteth (L8).

The Role

As an EYFS Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting pupils throughout their early learning journey. Working closely with the class teacher and wider EYFS team, you will help create a positive and engaging classroom environment that supports children's academic, social, and emotional development.

Your responsibilities will include:

Supporting teaching and learning activities across the EYFS curriculum
Assisting with phonics, literacy, and numeracy sessions
Encouraging learning through play and structured activities
Supporting individual pupils and small groups to meet their learning goals
Helping to maintain a safe, caring, and inclusive classroom environment
Contributing to the assessment and monitoring of pupil progress

What We're Looking For

A caring and enthusiastic individual with a genuine passion for working with young children
Previous experience within a school setting, ideally in EYFS
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
A patient, positive, and adaptable approach
A good understanding of child development and early years education
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of children

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
