Location: Ashford, UK

Salary: Starting at £30,000 PA - £45,000.00 + (Dependent Upon Experience) + Benefits ( Company Vehicle, Phone, Laptop, Training & Development Opportunities + Much more)

Company Overview: Our client, a leading building merchant in the Ashford area, is seeking a dynamic and driven External Sales Executive to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual with a passion for sales and a strong understanding of the building materials industry.

Role Overview: As an External Sales Executive, you will be responsible for driving sales and developing strong relationships with both new and existing customers. Your primary goal will be to increase sales revenue by promoting the company’s range of building materials and services. This role requires a proactive approach to identify and capitalize on sales opportunities, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Development: Proactively identify and target new business opportunities within the construction and building sector.

Account Management: Maintain and nurture relationships with existing clients, ensuring their needs are met and they remain satisfied with the company’s services and products.

Product Knowledge: Develop a deep understanding of the company’s product range, staying updated with new products and market trends.

Customer Visits: Conduct regular site visits to customer locations to build and maintain relationships, understand their needs, and provide tailored solutions.

Quotations and Proposals: Prepare and present quotes and proposals to clients, negotiating terms and closing sales effectively.

Market Research: Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify potential areas for growth and improvement.

Reporting: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and pipeline opportunities using the company’s CRM system.

Team Collaboration: Work closely with the internal sales team, customer service, and delivery teams to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications and Skills:

Proven experience in a sales role within the building materials or construction industry.

Strong knowledge of building materials and their applications. Heavyside / Timber is key.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels.

Self-motivated and target-driven, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.

Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Proficiency in using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Full UK driving license.
