Export Sales Executive

Smiths Advanced Metals supplies high-quality metals for specialist uses in some of the world’s most demanding industries, including aerospace, defence and precision engineering. We combine expert product knowledge with good service and reliable on-time delivery. We’re looking for an Export Sales Executive to look after our international customers, mainly across Europe.
What you’ll do
* Manage and grow a portfolio of existing export customers
* Find and win new customers in international markets
* Prepare accurate quotes and follow them up quickly until you get an answer
* Negotiate prices, lead times and terms
* Handle export paperwork and compliance with our logistics team
* Keep the CRM up to date with every call, quote and opportunity
* Report on your sales, pipeline and targets to the Sales Manager
* Attend a few international trade shows and customer visits each year
What you’ll need
* At least 2 years in a sales role where you personally won new customers and worked to targets
* Good negotiation skills and confidence on the phone with buyers
* Experience building and managing your own sales pipeline
* Accuracy with quotes, pricing and paperwork
* Experience using a CRM and Microsoft Office
* A full UK driving licence and a valid passport
* You live within commuting distance of Huntingdon
It would help if you have
* French or Italian at business level
* Experience in metals, engineering or industrial products
* Knowledge of export documentation and Incoterms
